Calgary stucco repair that fixes the cause, not only the crack
Cracks, soft spots, water staining, holes and failed patches, repaired and colour-matched by a stucco tradesman with 13 years on the wall. One flat price, done right, so you never pay for the same repair twice.
Why Calgary stucco fails, and how we repair it
Calgary is hard on stucco. We get dozens of freeze-thaw cycles every winter, chinooks that swing the temperature 20 degrees in an afternoon, hail every summer, and dry air that shrinks everything. Any water that gets in behind the finish freezes, expands, and pushes the stucco off the wall one season at a time.
That's why a cheap patch over a crack usually shows up again next spring. Most stucco damage starts somewhere else: a missing kick-out flashing at a roofline, a window with no drip cap, a deck ledger tied into the wall, or a weep screed buried under landscaping. We find where the water is coming from, fix that first, then rebuild the stucco in layers and match the texture and colour so the repair blends in.
We repair traditional three-coat cement stucco, acrylic finishes, and EIFS/Dryvit systems on houses, duplexes, townhomes and small commercial buildings across Calgary and the surrounding towns.
Stucco repairs we do
Crack repair
Hairline shrinkage cracks to structural cracks at corners, windows and foundation lines. Routed, bonded and refinished, not just caulked.
Water damage & soft stucco
We open up wet or delaminated sections, check the sheathing and building paper behind, replace what's rotten and rebuild.
Holes & impact damage
Hail, ladders, vehicles, removed fixtures, dryer vents and woodpecker holes patched and blended into the surrounding wall.
Flashing & window details
Kick-out flashings, drip caps, window and door head flashings added or corrected, the most common cause of stucco rot we see.
Failed patch repair
Tearing out someone else's patch (often QuikCrete or spackle over paper) and redoing it properly with matched texture.
Full restoration & re-coat
When the whole wall is tired: sectional rebuilds, new acrylic finish coats and elastomeric paint for a like-new exterior.

What does stucco repair cost in Calgary?
It depends on three things: how big the damaged area is, whether there's water damage behind the stucco, and how hard the area is to reach. A small crack or hole repair is a very different job from rebuilding a wall section around a leaking window.
We price every job as one flat, written number after we've seen it. Photos you send through the estimate form usually get you a ballpark the same day. The estimate is free. If the wall needs moisture testing or investigative openings before anyone can honestly price it, we'll tell you that cost before we start.
The expensive stucco repair is the one you pay for twice. We'd rather quote the right fix once than sell you a cheap patch that cracks again next spring.

Stucco Repair questions
How much does stucco repair cost in Calgary?
It depends on the size of the damage, whether there's water damage behind it, and access. Small crack and hole repairs are the least expensive; section rebuilds around leaking windows cost more. We give one flat written price after seeing the job, and the estimate is free.
Can you match my existing stucco texture and colour?
Yes. We match the texture pattern by hand and colour-match the finish. On older or faded walls, the best result is sometimes to re-coat or paint the full wall plane so there's no visible patch line. We'll tell you which option makes sense.
Are cracks in stucco normal?
Fine hairline cracks from shrinkage are common and mostly cosmetic. Cracks wider than about 1/16 inch, stair-step cracks from window corners, or cracks with staining around them usually mean movement or water getting in and should be looked at.
Should I repair or replace my stucco?
Most walls can be repaired. Replacement only makes sense when damage is widespread, the sheathing behind is rotten over large areas, or the original system was installed without proper drainage. We'll show you what we find and give you both options if replacement is on the table.
Does home insurance cover stucco damage?
Sudden damage like hail or an impact is often covered; long-term water intrusion and wear usually isn't. We can document damage with photos and a written scope for your insurance claim.
When can stucco be repaired in Calgary?
Cement stucco and acrylic finishes need above-freezing temperatures to cure, so most work happens from spring through fall. Urgent winter repairs can be done with heat and hoarding, or we can make a wall watertight until spring.
Is the estimate free?
Yes, for most repairs. If a job needs moisture probing, mortar testing or opening up the wall before it can be priced honestly, we tell you the diagnostic cost up front.
